Welcome to the Green Studios, atmospheric and coastal paintings by British contemporary artist Claire Hockley.

By expressing my love of the Dorset coast and painting at home in my green studio in Poole, I translate my love of colour and texture through my work.

The ever changing light and mood of the landscape is captured through my expressive abstract oil paintings inspired by my photographs, walks and wild swimming. Living in Dorset enables an abundance and deliverance of truly beautiful coastal views which provide the basis for my inspiration. 

Textured layers achieved by combining brushes and palette knife, enable  an intensity of expressive colour for all my work.
